Buy Give the People What They Want. Although Give the People What They Want was the 18 th full-length album by The Kinks and was released nearly two decades after their actual debut, it has a feel as fresh and vigorous as any debut album. The sound is strong and contemporary, the lyrics are biting and direct, yet the message is more mature, philosophical, and satirical in nature.

This IMO is their best 80's album, an album which stacks up quite nicely against their 60's output. It kicks off with Around The Dial, a truly rocking piece of rock and one of my favorite tunes of theirs. My other favorites are of course Destroyer, Give the People What They Want, the sunny Better Things, and A little Bit of Abuse/5(62).

A song from the Kinks’ album, Give The People What They Want. It is nostalgic in that it is based off of previous hits for the hand like “All Day And All Of The Night” and “Lola”. The song is.
