Sep 12,  · The CD's opening piece, "Rose Rouge," is centered on an edgy piano rhythm and a looped vocal fragment from jazz singer Marlena Shaw. The dub-inflected "Montego Bay Spleen" features Jamaican jazz guitarist Ernest Ranglin, who offers a clean, warm, neo-Wes Montgomery style filtered through his years as a session musician-architect of ska and reggae/5().

This was my father's favorite singer and song. I dedicate this beautiful rendition to both my parents who gave me love and the appreciation to enjoy each mom.

Davis turns the Judy Garland associated tune "You Made Me Love You" and turns ininto a sultry torch song. Every track is a gem, and if you like good singing or if yo're into Carol Sloane or Rosemary Clooney now, you'll really enjoy Davis' wondeful CD. She truly is a beautiful person, and this CD /5(5).
