Sep 28,  · "Lite Me Up" could be considered a collaboration between Herbie and Rod Temperton (best known from Heatwave), as the latter has the sole or co-writing credit on six of the eight tracks. It sounds somewhat similar to Quincy Jones's "The Dude", an album released in which also features Herbie and Temperton, though "Lite Me Up" doesn't have an anthem on the level of "Ai No Corrida" /5().

"Chameleon" is a jazz standard composed by Herbie Hancock in collaboration with Bennie Maupin, Paul Jackson and Harvey Mason, all of whom also performed the original full-length version on the album Head Hunters featuring solos by Hancock and Maupin.
