'Magic Bus' was just a lot of fun -- Keith bashing about and 'Jes' [Jess Roden] from the Alan Bown Set singing in that Stevie Winwood-type voice on the record." --Pete Townshend () According to engineer Damon Lyon-Shaw, this happened at the May 29, sessions and the recording was taken and never returned by Kit Lambert.

Magic Bus: The Who on Tour is the fourth American album by British rock band The Who, released by Decca in the US in September to capitalize on the success of their single of the same name. It is a compilation album of previously released material, and was not issued in the UK, although the album was also released at approximately the same time in Canada.

At three discs and 57 tracks, this Magic Bus compilation from Universal offers a pretty solid cross section of songs from the Summer of Love and beyond. The late '60s were a cathartic time for popular music as established acts let down their hair (both figuratively and literally) and colorful new upstarts emerged out of the counterculture.7/

But, during the late 60's and early 70's, there was a bus called The Magic Bus that travelled from Amsterdam to Kabul, Afghanistan. The cost was absurdly low compared to today-something around $ Of course, is was adorned with psychedellic images and, perhaps a statement of the obvious, quite a trip! But, like the name of the brand of LSD.
