Contains the complete original album Bing & Satchmo, the only complete LP Louis Armstrong and Bing Crosby ever made as a team and their last recording together. As a bonus, their three duets from the movie High Society, as well as further duets taken from Crosby's TV shows and their only duet of 'Gone Fishin'/5(27).

Mar 10,  · Granted, Bing & Satchmo isn't quite as laid-back a date as it should have been; there's a peppy mixed vocal chorus to greet the train in the opening "Muskrat Ramble," and it reappears throughout the LP.

"Muskrat Ramble" is a jazz composition written by Kid Ory in It was first recorded on February 26, , by Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five, and became the group's most frequently recorded piece. It was paired on the flip side with another one of Armstrong's hits, "Heebie Jeebies.".

A great album that was ruined by "remastering." If you want to hear the voices of Bing Crosby and Louis Armstrong working together, then this album isn't for you. The "remastering" has boosted frequencies in the and kHz frequency bands giving a high frequency overlay in Bing's voice/5(26).
