The Dark Hedges is an avenue of beech trees along Bregagh Road between Armoy and Stranocum in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The trees form an atmospheric tunnel that has been used as a location in HBO's popular television series Game of Thrones, which has resulted in the avenue becoming a popular tourist attraction.

TV Shows Game of Thrones. Follow/Fav Northern Conqueror. By: CadenceIX. What if Lysa Arryn sent Sansa Stark to the Wall rather than risk her seducing Petyr Baelish? What if Jon returns from Hardhome to find her waiting for him? What if Daenerys returns to Westeros to find her brother's secret son claiming for the throne?

Jul 30,  · This is an often missed part of the Game of Thrones Tour as it is a long way from Belfast and the Causeway Coast routes. This area of Northern Ireland is famous for the Mourne Mountains and some of the most incredible views and scenic outlooks in the North of Ireland.

In later seasons of Game of Thrones, as the Direwolves became adults, wolves which were enhanced using CGI were used to portray Direwolves due to the size Direwolves were said to grow to in the books.
